Lets Meet Halfway

We each drive about 1 1/2 hours to our usual spot…. Panera Bread in Utica, NY. We arrive mid morning for a coffee and danish, more coffee, then lunch and chat away catching up on our lives; sharing grandbaby pictures and stories, as well as show and tell time of the endless projects we are working on. This is then followed by an excursion to JoAnn Fabrics!!!

My move to Kuwait has put that routine to rest for a time, something we both knew we would miss. THEN my husband introduced an idea of a new halfway point. I must say it didn’t take us long to make our plans. This time, however, we flew.

Pam and I have known each other for 28 years. This friendship has seen us through many ups and downs in life. For a period of time, life took us on different paths and we didn’t meet up. I think it is fair to say that our 8 days together discovering and enjoying France and Switzerland gave us an opportunity of a lifetime and ample time to catch up on those lost years. We had a blast!

The most important trip you may take in life is meeting people halfway.  - Henry Boye

I am soooo disappointed…..having trouble uploading pictures….so I haven’t posted here for quite a while…and you know???? I have lots to say….so here it is without the beautiful pictures that were taken of our time in Paris, at a cooking class, seeing the Lourve and Eiffel Tower, our walk through Monet’s garden and taking in the small French villages as well as the city of Dijon. The Alps in Switzerland, I think were our highlight, we just couldn’t stop taking pictures. And the view we got once we jumped off a mountain to sky glide over the lake and around the mountains was breathtaking. So you see there are lots of things to talk about and lots of pics to show you too! Any one have a tip to help me out???
